The Mission of Cleveland
Ambulatory Services
is to provide a quality, comfortable, cost effective and convenient
alternative for outpatient services in the community and surrounding
areas.
Cleveland Ambulatory Services is accredited by the Joint Commission
on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), is licensed by the state of North
Carolina and certified by Medicare and Medicaid.
Cleveland Ambulatory Services is a multi-specialty outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy
Center. Procedures can be completed without an overnight stay. In most cases you are
discharged the same day and can recuperate in the comfort of your own home. Your
overall expense will be less than a hopsital stay.
Cleveland Ambulatory Services opened in 1996 with two operating rooms and two
endoscopy rooms. In 2003 the surgery center expanded to four operating rooms and four
procedure rooms. The surgery center has over 50 physicians on staff and 44 employees.
Cleveland Ambulatory Services is affiliated with Cleveland Regional Medical Center and
the majority of our physicians are on staff at CRMC.
Cleveland Ambulatory Services voluntarily takes part in JCAHO accreditation.
JCAHO conducts a survey to evaluate our facility's compliance with nationally established Joint Commission standards.
We are committed to providing quality health care. Our accreditation demonstrates Cleveland Ambulatory Services continuous commitment to overall quality.

Advance Directives
Please be advised that an advance directive is a written instruction, such as a living will or durable power of attorney for healthcare, regarding the provision of healthcare, when an individual who has issued a directive is incapacitated. In accordance with Federal law, the facility is notifying you it does NOT honor advance directives. In the ambulatory care setting, if you suffer an unforeseen life-threatening situation, you will be resuscitated and transferred to an acute care hospital. If this is not acceptable to you, please address this with your physician. Written information regarding advance directives is available on request at the front desk or www.dhhs.state.nc.us/aging/direct.htm
